TCU offers more than just the traditional first-year college student experience. Our transfer students are a large part of our Horned Frog community, and we value the contributions they have made both inside and outside the classroom.

We understand that only some have the same academic experiences prior to arriving at TCU. In order to make sure our transfer students succeed, we have implemented several resources across campus to help establish a strong, close-knit community where our Transfer Frogs can get academic support and mentorship and build friendships with other students.

Here are a few of the resources available to our transfer students:

Student Success Coaching
This program is an opportunity for transfer students to receive mentorship through one-on-one success coaching! Peer Success Coaches are assigned to help students find solutions to challenges they are facing by creating action plans and, connecting students and referring them to other resources on campus that may be of assistance during their time at TCU. For more information, visit the Student Success Coaching website.

Veteran Services
TCU values our service members and their contributions and sacrifices for our country. As a way to show our appreciation, TCU waives the application fee for Veteran applicants. Our Veteran students have access to the Veterans Resource Center, which includes a lounge space for our military-affiliated students along with resources for academic support and community involvement, located in Jarvis Hall 228. Veteran Services also hosts several events throughout the year to honor those who have served and are a part of our Horned Frog Community. Read more about Veteran Services here.

Transfer Connection Space
Located in Grandmarc, this lounge area provides transfer students with a place to study, catch up with friends, or grab a quick snack while on campus. This is a great place to meet other fellow transfer students and connect more with them!

Transfer Student Success Course
In addition to mentorship opportunities, transfer students now have the opportunity to take a class tailored specifically for them and their unique experiences! The AddRan College of Liberal Arts created a course titled Transfer Student Success to give Transfer students the outlet they need as they embark on their journey at TCU. Additional Information about the course can be found here.

Transfer Student Experience
This is an organization that is explicitly devoted to seeing our transfer students succeed during their time at TCU and beyond. The Transfer Student Experience hosts events all year long relating to networking, mentorship, and even just fun events to build a strong sense of community among transfer students! Learn more about the Transfer student experience here.

Regardless of where you are coming from, we want you to know that there is a place for you here at TCU!
