How do I know if I'm Admitted-Large

Updated September 2025

You've submitted your application and now you may now be thinking, what's next? While our admission counselors are hard at work reviewing applications, we have helpful tips on how and when you'll receive your admission decision - and we promise, you'll be the first to know.

Set up your myTCU portal account now. When we release decisions, we'll send an email linking to your myTCU portal. If you haven't logged in yet, search your inbox for an email called Track your app on the myTCU Portal. Don't see it? Send us an email so we can help.

We guarantee decisions for Early Decision/Early Action applicants by January 1. Early Decision applicants receive decisions first and will receive either an admit or deny letter. We believe it's only fair to give you a firm decision either way since you're applying for a binding decision. If you are denied, the transfer option offers a pathway for hundreds of Horned Frogs each year, and applicants can earn automatic transfer scholarships.

Admitted Early Decision I applicants must make their commitment deposit by January 15. Early Action applicants will receive an admitted, deferred or denied decision by January 1 and must make their deposit by the National Candidate Reply Date on May 1.

We guarantee decisions for Early Decision II applicants by March 1 and Regular Deadline applicants by April 1. Early Decision II applicants receive their decisions by March 1 to give them enough time to make their commitment deposit by March 15. Regular decision applicants will receive decisions by April 1 at the latest. This gives you time to make your decision by the National Candidate Reply Date on May 1.

Your portal is an important source of information throughout the process. While applying, you can view the application checklist in your portal to learn if you're missing anything from your application. There you can also update your test optional response, update your application deadline and request a change of application major. If you are admitted, you'll receive information in your portal about any scholarship decisions, admitted student events and other next steps in your TCU journey!

We wish you the best of luck this application season. Please reach out with questions, we're here to help!
