Veterans

First off, thank you for you service. As a small token of appreciation, we will waive your application fee.

All veterans apply to TCU as a transfer student. Submitting your military transcript to the Office of Admission will grant you four (4) physical education credits toward your academic future at TCU. TCU’s VA Certifier initiates the tuition benefits process after admission.

When you’re ready, you’ll apply using our transfer application.

High School Graduates Without College Experience

TCU is home to students of every age and we’re delighted for your interest. Students who have never attended college apply with the first-year application. If you aren't able to access the required high school teacher and counselor evaluations, we'll accept two recommendation letters from others (like an employer, community member, etc). The college credits you may have earned in high school don’t apply toward transfer status.

Being an older first-year student does have its advantages as you are exempt from living in an on-campus residence hall.

When you’re ready, you’ll apply using our first-year application.

*This excludes veterans - all veterans apply as a transfer and should send their final high school transcript and military transcript.

GED Earners

Everyone’s road to success is different. We’d love to be part of yours.

You’ll need 24 transferrable credit hours from another regionally-accredited community college or university in order to get an excellent start at TCU. You can use our Transfer Guide to learn of the core classes we recommend. These classes can be in progress while you apply to TCU.
